Brothers & Co. host 2014 Grand Wild West Showcase at Annie Oakley Festival July 26

IMG_6791Ansonia, OH – Since 2003, The Brothers & Co. Entertainers have provided entertainment for the annual Annie Oakley Western Arts Showcase Wild West shows during Annie Oakley Festival in Greenville, Ohio. This year, the festival has moved from the Darke County Fairground to York Woods, about 6 miles north of Greenville, at 6129 Reed Road in Ansonia, 45303.

Beginning at 1:00 p.m., the Annie Oakley Western Arts Showcase will be presenting Wild West exhibition contests and a matinee performance of trick roping, precision whip artistry and knife throwing expertise.

Presented in the spirit of the stage-style Wild West shows of the late 19th Century, each production will include some detailed history about how these arts came to be and who still practices them today. Some of the players include Chris “The Whip Guy” Camp (America’s Got Talent, The Tonight Show), champion knife thrower Kirk Bass, of Xenia, Ohio, and his daring wife Melodee in the suspenseful Bass Blades impalement show, and much more.

Whip marksmanship competitions headline the afternoon show beginning with the National Whip Speed and Accuracy Exhibition Competition, the world’s only Bullwhip Fast Draw contest.

At 5:30 p.m., The Brothers & Co. take the outdoor stage to host the Grand Wild West Showcase, a fun, family-friendly Wild West show complete with music, comedy, magic and the best Wild West artists in the business!

The shows are free with regular festival admission. For more information and complete directions, visit www.annieoakleyfestival.org or ohiowesternarts.org.
